New Post Sunday on Indiana Flooding with Pictures and Video.
If you have a story or information you want to pass along please feel free to post it. Also, love to see any pictures from around Greenwood, Martinsville, Bloomington and surrounding communities. Also there has been reports of a Tornado on the ground in parts of Chicago. You can watch live coverage at Fox_Chicago.

Talking with my family in Martinsville, Indiana it appears things are really bad from heavy rains that have flooded much of central Indiana. 3 to up to 10 inches of rain fell in 24 hours from 7a.m. on June 6th to 7a.m. on June 7th. From talking to my step dad at one point because of mudslides and closed highways he couldn’t get back home. Fortunately for my family in Martinsville their home is on higher ground. My prayers go to those who have been impacted by these storms and flooding in Indiana.

If you live in Indiana this flooding could be potentially deadly, take the advise from the National Weather Service and “Turn Around, Don’t Drown”
Extremely heavy rainfall has occurred in southern portions of central Indiana. Up to 11 inches of rainfall has occurred. This is resulting in numerous road closures, evacuations, and water rescues.
Rivers in southern Indiana are rising extremely rapidly, with the largest impact occurring on the White in southwest Indiana. Record flooding is possible on the Eel River, and the White River from Martinsville to Edwardsport.
The Wabash will be impacted as well. On the Wabash from Montezuma to near Vincennes, levels may approach January 2005. Minor flooding will occur north of Montezuma.
On the East Fork White, extensive flooding is expected in Bartholomew and Jackson counties, similar or slightly higher than what has been experienced in recent weeks. Minor flooding is expected in Lawrence county.
FLOOD WATERS ARE DEADLY! DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS OR PASS HIGH WATER BARRICADES! YOU WILL NOT MAKE IT!

It looks like Kansas could see some storms, some severe later today. I am concerned that parts of WI, IL, IA, MO, could see the long extended periods of heavy rain like Indiana saw. There is a stalled front and this will keep rain and storms firing along this boundary.

My prayers are with everyone along these flood sights. We live in Jackson, Co. Ind. and are getting flooded. My aunt lives in Ninevah where a dam on their lake has broken. We have family all over this area and all are being impacted. Everyone….PLEASE STAY SAFE.

I’m also from Martinsville, now in MN, and it’s just so strange to see your hometown on the national news. Some of my family are still in the area–as far as know, all are a okay, but the damage is so widespread! Wow!
