This is very much a bitter sweet day for me. For nearly 5 years I have been working in Erie as the weekend meteorologist at JET-TV and FOX66. Tonight (Dec. 30th) are my last shows for JET-TV and FOX66. I am excited and a little sad.
Erie has been the home for my family and myself for the last 5 years. We’ve watched our son’s grow up here and the people of Erie couldn’t have been better. Erie has been the first real home for our young family and we will surely miss it.
When 2008 rolls in I will be the new morning meteorologist for another NEXSTAR station WROC-TV in Rochester, NY. This is a great opportunity for me professionally as well as for my family. One of the best things about this move is I leave the weekend shift behind and work Mon through Friday allowing me more time with my family.
To all of you in Erie who read my site and watch me on WJET-TV I want to thank you for being there and watching and making my family and I feel welcomed here in Erie. We will miss Erie, but look forward for all the new friends and opportunities Rochester has in store for us.
As far as WX-Man.com it looks like it will stay up and running. The activity in January may be just as lacking as December was as I adjust to the new schedule and get a place and also internet access. Once the dust settles the site will come back as it was this summer and fall.

Good luck to you and your family!!! I enjoy your site and go to it first for weather and weather information. You are moving to a great area – the Erie Canal is great – the wineries are fabulous – the landscape is wonderful.

Brian – welcome to Rochester. I saw you on the the morning show and noon news this morning and you seem to already have a great rapport with Katrina. I hope you enjoy working with Scott Hetsko and the rest of the gang at channel 8. Good luck!
