FORECAST UPDATE THURSDAY  9 PM EDT:
This remains a very difficult forecast. There is a cut off upper level low positioned over the Great Lakes. This continues to pump and funnel moisture from the south into the Northeast. This will keep cloudy skies around with showers through out the weekend. The wettest days appear to be Friday and Saturday for New Hampshire Motor Speedway, as a couple of disturbances will bring off and on rain showers.

As for Sunday, because of the uncertainty of where this upper level low will be I am going to keep scattered to isolated showers in the forecast. The trend is calling for drier conditions but I am not ready to say it will be an all dry forecast for Sunday. I also don’t think Sunday is a washout. If there were to be a shower they may be enough breaks that they could dry the track and keep racing. This forecast is not going to be easy but right now I am playing it safe and saying wet Friday and Saturday, with a possibility of scattered off and on showers Sunday.
