FORECAST DISCUSSION MONDAY 6am EDT:
The green flag for the Goody’s 500 (possibly 250) is scheduled to drop around 12:14pm EDT. As of 11am, clouds were breaking as expected with dry air working through southern VA and the Carolinas.
Definitely going to get this race started, and I think half way looks really good. My opinion once we get beyond halfway any lap between that and the end are bonus.
Scattered showers could develop in the afternoon so there is that risk. If we get showers or a race stoppage at some point don’t be surprised.
I have work responsibilities in the afternoon so I will miss the start of the race but will have my phone and will be checking Twitter @NASCAR_WXMAN
