Forecast for the 94th Running of the “Greatest Spectacle” in Racing Indianapolis 500:
It will be hot and humid in Indianapolis today, no problems with the start of the race the only thing we will be watching is the possibility of isolated showers and storms dotting the Central Indiana landscape after 3pm this afternoon. They will be few and far between with more miss than hit but it is possible that one of those lone showers or storms forms near or over the track during the race but the odds of getting 500 miles in is very good. Just be hydrated and drink lots of water if you are going to be out at the track this afternoon.

Forecast for the Coca-Cola 600:
Finally no threat of rain, the green flag is scheduled to wave sometime after 6pm but before that it will be another hot and humid North Carolina day. Stay cool, drink lots of fluids and non alcoholic beverages, wear sunscreen because the UV index will be “Very High” or 9 out of 15. Temperatures at the start of the race should be in the mid to upper 80s. By the checkered flag near 80 or the upper 70s but remaining very muggy with a few more clouds.
11am Update: I am just going to mention that an isolated shower/storm could form later in the evening around the track. Very similar to yesterday but as we saw no rain impacted the Nationwide Race. I think we are good it is hot and humid and those factors can lead to a few showers and storms (isolated at best)
